What is an Antar Dasha
In the Vedic system, Antardasha represents the sub-period within a larger Mahadasha. While Mahadasha indicates a major life phase ruled by one planet, Antardasha refines it further to show how another planet’s influence blends with the main Dasha ruler.
It helps you understand what kind of events or shifts will occur during that particular time frame — whether emotional growth, career changes, relationship improvements, or challenges.
How to Calculate Antardasha
Our Dasha Calculator uses a numerological and Vedic logic to calculate your dasha.
- It starts with your date of birth by summing up the digits without including the century number.
- Then, it calculates the Antardasha based on the weekday of your birthday and then adding the weekday number in your calculated number. For example :- 14/04/2008 1+4+0+4+0+8=17 =>1+7=8 and 8+2 =10 -> 1+0=1. Therefore the antardasha would be 1.
- Each Antardasha period typically lasts one year, reflecting specific planetary influences active during that time.
What is a Partyantar dasha
Beyond the Antardasha lies another refined period called the Partyantar Dasha. This layer is even more precise, often influencing events for weeks or months at a time. It’s like zooming in further into your life’s timeline.
Partyantar Dasha is the third step after calculating the mahadasha and antardasha. It is based on Antardasha but it is based on monthly or weekday basis.
How Partyantar Dasha is Calculated
The Partyantar Dasha is calculated within the active Antardasha.
Pratyantar Dasha is calculated by the following steps:-
- The First step is to Calculate your Mahadasha and your current mahadasha. For a date of birth 14/04/2008 its Mahadasha will be 5 by summing up the date of the DOB and current mahadasha for the period would be 7 (as per 2025 and to 13 April 2026). Note:- Mahadasha also gets changed after its duration.
- Secondly your Antardasha would be calculated, to calculate your antardasha add the weekday number to your current mahadasha so pratyantardasha would be 7+2(weekday number)=9
- Third and the last step is to calculate your pratyantardasha, it is basically same as your antardasha so it will be 9 but it lasts for 73 days and gets changed to 1 and the cycle continues. You can use our tool to calculate your All Numerology Dashas.
It creates a complete timeline of nine Partyantar Dashas, each with exact start and end dates, so you can see which specific sub-phase you are currently in.
Daily Dasha
Every day carries its unique vibration, and the Daily Dasha shows which planetary influence rules your day.
it can be calculated by adding the weekday number and your current pratyantrdasha.
This layer changes every 24 hours, guiding your mood, luck, focus, and potential outcomes for the day.
Daily Dasha is the last step of Vedic Numerology and is useful in predicting on daily basis.
